Rock Choir sings Video Killed The Radio Star (set 1) at Birmingham New Street Station on 31/05/25

On Saturday 31st May 2025, members of the Stourbridge & Kidderminster Rock Choirs were joined by fellow Rockies from Warwickshire, Birmingham and even Derbyshire to surprise travellers on the Grand Central concourse at New Street Station. Carefully watched by Ozzy the Bull, the Rockies flash mobbed the unsuspecting travellers and then performed a couple of short sets, loving that folks stopped and joined in for a few minutes on their journey.

The whole event was staged to support the local branch of the NSPCC as they build up to their Childhood Day Event on 6th June. As a choir, we love supporting events like this, helping to bring attention to a great cause. That we got to do it in front of the iconic Ozzy, was a bonus! We even managed to get ourselves on BBC Radio WM. Thanks to Caroline and her team from the NSPCC for inviting us along – we had a blast!
