Metallica ‘Load (Remastered Delxluxe Box Set)’ Album review. ….3/10

Reviews of every Pichfork.com album reviewed for a second opinion. We are, of course, both right and wrong, as are you and that’s the joy of music.

This album I won’t listen to 10 more times but that doesn’t mean you won’t love it.

Mood and timing plays a big part.

Please like and subscribe.

Thanks for watching.

Metallica.
First things first, I’m not listening to 233 songs and 15hrs of Metallica.
I’ll do the album.
Always been a band on the side of my thoughts rather than in them.
Was too much of an indie kid for Master of Puppets etc.
Loads of mates were fans tho. Bit Heavy for me, then anyway.
Around the Metallica album was probably fav.
Nothing Else Matters is a great song.
Don’t really know much after.
This sounds alright. More Bluesy than I expected.
Closer to Led Zepplin than Megadeth.
Always quite liked James Hatfields voice.
Lars drumming I know takes some stick but don’t mind steady and solid.
The Ringo Starr of Metal.
It is a rock pop record tho, the anger feels a little bit Millionaire.
How angry can you be? Hope your not. Hope they are happy.
But they cant do an Easy Listening happy album. Hope they do.
Overall my feeling is its not very good, not awful but its not like I missed anything.
I was right not to be bothered at the time.
It does have the Spinal Taps about it.
They even both had black album covers.
You can hear the influence on later bands and from bands around then.
At moments even a bit grungy.
Overall tho, feels like a good band a little lost.
3/10
