As we get closer to the new Halestorm Everest album, each track gets progressively more gothic.
Today, the band has shared the official music video for the already released single “Darkeness Always Wins.” The video was directed by DJay Brawner, who is also known for working on visuals for Beartooth, The Used and Coheed and Cambria, to name a few.
Commenting on the song, Halestorm vocalist Lzzy Hale has previously mentioned,
““Darkness Always Wins” is not a song of hope, nor is it a song of despair. It is reality. History repeating. Evil prevails and the good depart first. But we are not doomed as long as we persist and keep our fires burning. The war may not be won in this lifetime. But our mission is to pass the torch so that those who follow have a light to fight with.”
This Saturday, the group are playing at Black Sabbath’s Farewell show. After that, they will embark on their official nEVEREST tour this fall.
Everest comes out August 8 via Atlantic Records, but you can pre-save it here.
