Dream Theater Will Play "A Change of Seasons" During Their Upcoming U.S. Tour

Surprising absolutely no one, progressive metal outfit Dream Theater announced they’ll be playing a super long song during their upcoming U.S. tour. Except, it’s an exceptionally long song — like 20+ minutes long — yes, they’ll be playing the entirety of “A Change of Seasons”.

Originally released on the band’s first EP of the same name back in 1995, “A Change of Seasons” is a 23 minute long epic comprised of seven different movements. I imagine it’s bonkers to play in a live setting, so why they decided to do that on the same tour they’ll be playing the entirety of their latest album Parasomnia.

The tour will launch from Reading, Pennsylvania on September 5 and will culminate at the final show on October 25 in Uniondale, New York. Along the way, they’ll make stops for Louder Than Life and Aftershock, as well as the special two-nights in Atlanta series wher they’ll play all of Parasomnia one night and a rescheduled 40th anniversary show the next.

“We are very excited to be performing A Change of Seasons on our Parasomnia US tour! We will also be performing the whole of the new album and other Dream Theater favorites!”
