Under the Arizona night sky at Tempe Beach Park, Blink-182 brought the house down as the final act of Innings Festival 2026, starting their set at 9:00 p.m. on the Home Plate Stage. With the classic trio’s signature blend of fast-paced riffs, heartfelt lyrics, and irreverent humor, the performance captured exactly what makes them special in today’s music scene: a perfect balance of nostalgic fun and genuine emotion that still resonates across generations, turning a packed festival crowd into one big, jumping sing-along.

All day, fans in various costumes and t-shirts built anticipation for the headliner closeout performance. These fans, in particular, caught a lot of attention.

Formed in 1992 in Poway, California (just outside San Diego), Blink-182 has been active for more than 30 years, becoming one of the defining pop-punk bands of their era. The group broke through with their 1999 album Enema of the State and 2001’s Take Off Your Pants and Jacket, both multi-platinum successes.

Signature songs include “All the Small Things,” “What’s My Age Again?,” “I Miss You,” “Dammit,” and “First Date,” along with later favorites like “Feeling This” and “Edging.” The band has earned multiple MTV Video Music Awards, headlined major festivals worldwide, and built a devoted following through their honest, playful approach to songwriting.

Fans may not yet know about the substantial lineup shift that brought them back to full strength: after guitarist Matt Skiba filled in from 2015 to 2022, founding member Tom DeLonge returned in late 2022, reuniting the original trio and leading to the acclaimed 2023 album One More Time….

There’s something quietly special about seeing a band that helped shape your teenage years still deliver that same rush of energy decades later. Blink-182’s closing set at Innings Festival wove together early classics, deeper cuts, and a few playful surprises, creating a joyful, high-energy finale that felt like the perfect end to a weekend of music.
It’s the kind of performance that leaves you smiling on the way home, grateful for bands that keep the spirit of pop-punk alive without ever losing their sense of fun. If their path ever crosses your city again, it’s worth being there to feel it for yourself. Grade A+
