Pop artist and multi-instrumentalist Ava Della Pietra is kicking off the season with a festive new project that celebrates everything her fans have come to love about her: clever storytelling, heartfelt vocals, and a sense of play that never gets old. Out today, her new holiday EP It’s Giving Christmas features two seasonal originals – “You Make It Christmas” and “Reindeer Rebellion” – with a third track, a bold reinterpretation of “Last Christmas,” arriving just before Thanksgiving.
The EP opens with “You Make It Christmas,” a nostalgic, acoustic update of Ava’s very first release, “Christmas Tonight,” which dropped in 2019 when she was just 15 years old. “Revisiting it in a more acoustic, mature way feels so nostalgic and beautiful,” Ava shares. “It brings forward all the warmth and closeness that have always made this song special to me.”
Ava has always had a special connection to the holiday season. Her debut single “Christmas Tonight” sparked early features in Just Jared Jr., Parade, and American Songwriter, while “Reindeer Rebellion” became a fan-favorite thanks to her playful live performances on KTLA and the nationally televised Hollywood Christmas Parade. With It’s Giving Christmas, she leans fully into that spirit – offering a cozy and joyful soundtrack for the season.
The EP’s second track, “Reindeer Rebellion,” continues to charm with its cheeky take on what happens when Santa’s four-legged helpers decide they’ve had enough. From its clever lyrics to its animated video, the track has become a recurring favorite during Ava’s holiday sets – equal parts whimsical and empowering.

At just 20 years old, Ava Della Pietra has released more than 20 singles, written over 150 original songs, and amassed 27 million global streams and 1.5 million followers across platforms. Her collaborators include chart-topping producers like Jon Levine (Dua Lipa), Will Hicks (Ed Sheeran), Shane Stevens (Ariana Grande), and Nash Overstreet (Meghan Trainor, Taylor Swift).
