Who’s ready for some sad times by way of an atmospheric doom metal outfit Frayle?! Earlier today, the band not only announced the new release, but shared an… interesting cover of a Lana Del Rey tune that’s going to be featured on the upcoming release.
As you’ll be able to check out below, Frayle went the chilling and sad route when taking on the pop track. Speaking of the single, the band had this to say about the cover:
“We’ve always been fans of songwriting with notes of melancholy, no matter what the genre. Hearing ‘Summertime Sadness’ for the first time was special. Everything seemed to fall into place for us with little resistance on this song. It was the first rough mix we got back from our producer. He added the pause before the breath leading into the first chorus and upon hearing it, we knew we had something special.”
When it comes to the album itself, it features 10 new tracks, including this one. There will be a couple different variants to collect too, if that’s your thing.
Heretics & Lullabies will be released on October 10 via Napalm Records, but you can preorder your copy today.
