GG said in one of his songs that he didn't want to die old, that he wanted to die young. He got his wish.
GG reaped what he sowed. People are hypocrite saying RIP to him. There is no RIP to anyone who lived a life of sin and mocking God, rejecting God's offer of salvation thru Jesus Christ and going on their "own" way separate from God. Now he is still suffering in hell day and night and its for eternity. There is nothing cool about him. I feel sorry for any parents whose kids are hooked with these kind of music and lifestyle. When "free-will" kicks in with any youngsters, a choice should be made: a life with God or a life away from God. And most people as to this day, are getting worse and worse living a life away from God and taunting Him with their mockery and immoral lifestyle. Celebrating sinful acts and demonizing righteousness. The world is ripe already for God's righteous judgment. Seek God while He may be found, call unto God while He is near. Coz a time will come when God will no longer hear everyone's prayer and regret, especially those who rejected Him. Repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the only way to the Father, He is the only one who can give eternal Peace to anyone who believes in Him, in heaven.
Hell is not a cool place. It is a place of torment day and night for eternity. God loves you, dont go to hell. Submit and humble yourselves to God and turn away from sin
Please keep interviewing Merle as able. The man's a treasure trove of stories and experiences.
I used to hang out and play with bands at clubs where they played. Merle is the coolest guy.
My husband and I were sitting at the table across from Merle and GG at the Claremont Lounge in Atlanta in 91/92-
Quite the night to say the least!
I met Merle out the back of a gig he and the murder junkies were doing in Australia. He thought I worked there and asked where to take his music equipment. I called him by name and said I didn’t work there. I think he was a bit surprised that I knew who he was. I also talked to him at the CD stall where he was selling gg CDs. He couldn’t understand the Aussie accent!
Favorite interview you’ve ever done, Merle is a very good storyteller and doesn’t leave much out.
